His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Jean-Noël Barrot, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, on Friday to discuss a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest. Their conversation also focused on enhancing cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership between the UAE and France.
The historical ties between the UAE and France date back to the establishment of the UAE, when French oil companies, notably Total, began oil exploration activities in the region. This early collaboration laid the groundwork for a robust partnership characterized by high-level official visits, regular meetings, and increasing cooperation across various sectors.
