Sharjah is set to welcome equestrian enthusiasts from across the region as the 19th Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival – Straight Egyptian Lineage takes centre stage on 16th October. Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the festival promises a spectacular showcase of heritage, culture, and equestrian excellence.
Organised by the Sharjah Equestrian & Racing Club in collaboration with the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) and supported by the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), the event will feature 55 horses from the UAE, Egypt, Iraq, and Qatar. Recognised by the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations (ECAHO), the festival continues Sharjah’s long-standing tradition of hosting world-class Arabian horse events.

Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of SAIF Zone, highlighted the festival’s role in celebrating the nobility of the Arabian horse and Sharjah’s commitment to preserving Arab cultural traditions. The festival not only showcases the finest Straight Egyptian Arabian horses but also reinforces the UAE’s position as a leading destination for global equestrian events.
This edition will feature elite horses from renowned breeders, private stables, and top studs, reflecting Sharjah’s dedication to preserving the Egyptian strain of Arabian horses. Over the years, the festival has become a platform where tradition, culture, and international equestrian standards meet, drawing enthusiasts and experts alike.
With its blend of culture, sport, and heritage, the Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival remains a testament to the emirate’s vision of promoting equestrianism as a core part of its identity, offering spectators an unforgettable experience steeped in history and prestige.
