The Sharjah Youth Council is set to participate in the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) 2024, taking place at the Expo Centre Sharjah on September 4-5. The forum, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, will feature a variety of sessions and discussions on government communication and youth engagement.
Obaid Saleh Al-Suwaidi, Media Officer and member of the Sharjah Youth Council, emphasized that the council's involvement is aimed at exploring and anticipating the future role of youth in enhancing communication between young people and government entities. The council's participation is focused on innovative strategies and tools for improving government communication through engaging media discourse.

At the forum, the Sharjah Youth Council will present two key sessions. The first session, titled "The Latent Ideas of Youth and the Fuel of Scientific Research in Government Communication," will explore how youthful perspectives and scientific research can drive advancements in government communication. The second session, "Digital Government Communication - Between Empowering and Benefiting from the Youth," will focus on how digital communication strategies can empower and involve young people.
The sessions will be led by Khalid Al Raisi, a member of the Sharjah Youth Council and TV presenter, and Dr. Abdulsalam Al Hammadi. Notable participants include Khalid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority; Asma Hassouni, Director of the Media Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs; Dr. Noura Al Karbi, Head of the Department of Community Relations for Scientific Research at the University of Sharjah; Dr. Farid Al Amiri, Chief Strategy Officer at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park; and Dr. Fadi Aloul, Dean of the College of Engineering at the American University.
Al-Suwaidi highlighted that the council is eager to delve into the foundations that strengthen the role of youth in digital government communication. The discussions will aim to identify ways in which young people can contribute to developing effective digital communication mechanisms for various age groups and enhance overall government communication strategies.
