Lewis Hamilton, who last secured a victory in December 2021, became a part of Mercedes in 2013 after leaving McLaren and has since clinched six world titles with the team. Despite speculation linking him to Ferrari for the current year, he opted to remain with Mercedes by signing a new two-year contract last summer, alongside teammate George Russell. This contractual commitment was supposed to last until the end of 2025.
As the most successful driver in Formula 1 history, boasting 103 wins and 104 pole positions, the seven-time world champion has left an indelible mark on the sport. Although his current Mercedes contract was originally set to expire next year, Hamilton has decided to part ways with the team after the ongoing season. His destination is Ferrari, where he will take over the seat vacated by Carlos Sainz.
