The post came after a photo of Bieber and Gomez was shared, showing the two reuniting at the Annual Academy Museum Gala in October 2022.

The tweet was allegedly shared just before Gascon made an announcement that she would be starring alongside Gomez in the series Emilia Perez. This led some to believe that Gascon was aware they would be working together when she posted the comment about Gomez.
