A private space company from Europe is planning to test its new rocket from Norway on Monday. The company, Isar Aerospace, is based in Munich, Germany. The rocket, called Spectrum, will take off from the island of Andøya in northern Norway. The time for the launch is between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. local time. But the launch may be delayed if the weather is bad or if there are safety issues. If needed, the company may try again later in the week.

The Spectrum rocket is 28 meters (91 feet) tall and has two parts. It is made to carry small and medium satellites into space. The company does not expect the rocket to reach orbit on its first flight. Even if the rocket flies for just 30 seconds, they will call it a success. This first test flight is to check how all the systems work together and to collect important information for future launches.
Isar Aerospace has raised over 400 million euros ($435 million) to build rockets. In the future, the company hopes to make up to 40 rockets per year in its factory near Munich. These rockets will be used to send satellites into space.
This company is not part of the European Space Agency (ESA), which is a space organization funded by 23 countries. ESA has been launching rockets and satellites for many years. However, ESA usually launches from French Guiana in South America or from Cape Canaveral in Florida, USA.
The test flight of the Spectrum rocket is an important step for Isar Aerospace as it tries to become a big player in the space industry.
