His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, met today with His Excellency Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Malaysia’s Defence Minister. This meeting took place during the 17th International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Hamdan welcomed Malaysia's Defence Minister warmly, stressing the UAE’s commitment to building strong, positive relationships with other nations. He highlighted how the UAE values cooperation with Malaysia, pointing out the growing partnership between the two countries in various areas.
During the discussions, both leaders focused on strengthening collaboration, especially in sharing knowledge, exchanging expertise, and transferring technology. They agreed on the importance of ongoing dialogue and coordination to address regional and international challenges that are important to both countries. The conversation also touched on key developments around the world, with both sides agreeing that it’s crucial to work together for regional security and stability. They also emphasized the need to promote peace and harmony among nations globally.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Major General Staff Mubarak Saeed bin Gafan Al Jabri, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee for IDEX and NAVDEX 2025, and His Excellency Staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence.
