A Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) official confirmed Gambhir's presence at the stadium for the shoot, describing it as a quiet affair intended for Gambhir to bid farewell to his supporters with a personal message.

The shoot, conducted by Gambhir's personal team rather than his IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, is expected to highlight his journey with KKR, including his recent role as mentor during the IPL 2024 season. Sources indicate the video will be released shortly after Gambhir's formal appointment as Team India's head coach.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has previously indicated that the new head coach will assume responsibilities ahead of India's upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is. Meanwhile, VVS Laxman, head of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, is currently accompanying the team on their tour of Zimbabwe as interim head coach following the conclusion of Rahul Dravid's tenure at the T20 World Cup 2024.
