Abu Dhabi has unveiled ‘Future Health – A Global Initiative by Abu Dhabi’, a transformative step in global health collaboration under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

Launched by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the initiative marks the evolution of Abu Dhabi Global Health Week into a continuous, year-round platform designed to accelerate international cooperation, research and innovation in healthcare.

Unlike a traditional annual event, Future Health aims to create a connected global ecosystem that drives real-world impact through the co-creation of programmes, research projects, and policy dialogues. It will bring together world leaders in policy, technology, research, investment, and philanthropy to design, fund and scale sustainable health solutions.

Anchored in Abu Dhabi’s growing leadership in AI and healthcare innovation, Future Health focuses on four key themes: Longevity and Precision Health, Health System Resilience and Sustainability, Digital Health and AI, and Investment in Life Sciences.

The initiative’s annual highlight, the Future Health Summit, will take place from 7–9 April 2026 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, hosting experts and innovators from around the world to share ideas, research and practical models that can improve lives globally.

Through its continuous programmes and global partnerships, Future Health will translate vision into measurable outcomes—driving longevity research, developing precision medicine practices, and enabling cross-sector cooperation that strengthens health systems worldwide.

The platform builds on Abu Dhabi’s established reputation as a hub for global health progress. Over the past years, the emirate has hosted more than 500 speakers from nearly 100 countries, welcomed over 25,000 participants, and launched the world’s first Declaration on Longevity and Precision Medicine. It is also home to one of four global vaccine distribution hubs, reinforcing its commitment to equitable healthcare access.

Founding partners of Future Health include M42, Mubadala Bio, PureHealth, and the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi (IHLAD), with Mediclinic as a strategic partner and Burjeel Holdings as a thematic partner. Together, they will form the foundation of a diverse coalition working to accelerate health innovation and deliver lasting impact for communities worldwide.

As Abu Dhabi steps into a new era of borderless collaboration, Future Health stands as a global call to action — turning commitment into progress and connecting the world’s brightest minds to create a healthier, longer-lived future for all.
