Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower) has reported a significant rise in new customer registrations across all sectors in Dubai. Additionally, Empower has seen an uptick in the use of its electronic payment channels. In the first half of this year, the company and its strategic partners—including banks and financial institutions—processed 427,114 bill payment transactions, marking an 11% increase compared to the same period last year.
HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, attributed this growth to the company's effective short and long-term strategies. He emphasized that the increase in the customer base and business growth underscores Empower’s commitment to delivering on its promises to shareholders. This commitment is reflected in its focus on sustainable growth, ease of service, high quality, and competitive offerings. These factors contribute to improved performance and align with Dubai’s national strategies and technological advancements, aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and streamlining transactions.
In its ongoing efforts to improve business operations and efficiency, Empower has approved 19,675 No Objection Certificates (NOCs) in the first half of this year. This represents a 21% increase from the same period in 2023. The increase in NOC approvals is designed to simplify the approval process for consultants and contractors, reduce violations, damages, and fines, and save time and effort.
Bin Shafar noted that the growth in Empower’s operations mirrors Dubai’s vibrant economy and the rising demand for district cooling services. He reported that the company's customer base has expanded to more than 138,000 in the first half of the year, reflecting the company’s successful adaptation to market needs and its role in supporting Dubai's development.
