The Creative Media Authority (CMA) has started a new program called Creative Community Projects (CCP) to help young people in Abu Dhabi improve their creative skills. This program will give them the chance to work with experts in the creative industry and learn directly from them. It also lets them share the culture of Abu Dhabi with the world through the ideas of young people in the UAE and the region.

CMA wants to make Abu Dhabi a leader in the creative media world. Through CCP, young people will get a chance to create content related to important events in the UAE. They will work on projects throughout the year with the help of industry professionals. The program will give them a chance to learn and gain experience in areas like video production, social media, public relations, and behind-the-scenes roles.

This program was created by Salwa Al Hadhrami, the Creative Content Lead at CMA. The first part of the program included 10 members from the Creative Lab Community, who helped make videos for Commemoration Day. This video will be shared on CMA’s social media on November 30. Another 13 young creatives worked on the Eid Al Etihad project. New projects will be created every few months, showcasing the growing talent in Abu Dhabi.

Mohamed Dobay, Acting Director-General of CMA, said this program is very important for helping young people in the UAE start careers in the creative industry. "This program helps young people learn real skills and work on real projects. It prepares them to be the future leaders in creative industries," he said. He also thanked Abu Dhabi Media Network for helping CMA support young talent.

Salwa Al Hadhrami, who created the project, said she is proud of what the program has achieved. "I am so proud of the content that has been made so far. It’s important for young people to tell their stories, and this program gives them the chance to do that," she said. "I encourage other young people in Abu Dhabi to join."

Roland Daou, Managing Director of Media Mania, who worked on the Commemoration Day video, said the experience was amazing. "It was great to see how much the young creatives grew while working on such an important project. I’m excited to see their careers grow," he said.

One of the projects created was the 53rd UAE National Day video, made by 13 young members of the Creative Lab Community. The video celebrates the UAE’s progress and achievements while staying true to its culture. Roles in the project included acting, production assistance, wardrobe help, art direction, camera work, and editing.

CMA is dedicated to helping young people grow in the creative field. Through CCP and other programs like the Arab Film Studio and Creative Lab, CMA gives training and internship opportunities to help young people get the skills they need for a successful career.
