Cosmo Jarvis Joins Christopher Nolan’s 'The Odyssey' with Tom Holland

Cosmo Jarvis, who played Anjin-San in the popular show Shogun, has been chosen for a role in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie The Odyssey. The movie is being filmed in Morocco, and now the team will be moving to Sicily for the next part of shooting.

Christopher Nolan is not just directing the film but also producing it with Emma Thomas. The Odyssey is based on the famous Greek myth, telling the story of Odysseus and his dangerous journey back home after the Trojan War. The film will show the struggles and adventures Odysseus faced on his way back to Ithica.

The movie will use special IMAX technology to give a unique viewing experience for the audience.

The cast includes big stars like Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Benny Safdie, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Himesh Patel, Elliott Page, Bill Irwin, Samantha Morton, Jesse Garcia, Will Yun Lee, and Corey Hawkins.

Universal Studios is behind the movie, and it will be released in theaters on July 17, 2026. The film will be the first to show Homer’s famous story in IMAX on the big screen.

Cosmo Jarvis has been praised for his acting in Shogun, and he will also appear in another upcoming film called The Alto Knights with Robert De Niro.
