BioTwin’s technology creates a digital copy of a person, called a "virtual twin." It uses data and special tools to track the health of the patient. This virtual twin can help doctors notice small changes in the patient’s body. These changes might show early signs of diseases like breast cancer, even before symptoms appear. The goal of this partnership is to test the technology, which is still being tested, by making special profiles for breast cancer screening. This is an important step in healthcare, both in the UAE and around the world.
Dr. Rafal Iskanderian, a doctor at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, said, "This partnership is a big step in improving breast cancer screening. It matches with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s goal to use the newest health technologies, backed by expert research. We hope this technology will help find cancer early and improve patient care."
Louis-Philippe Noel, the CEO of BioTwin, said, "Working with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is an important moment for us. By combining their knowledge with our technology, we hope to change the way breast cancer is screened and make healthcare better."
BioTwin is also part of Microsoft’s program called Entrepreneurship for Positive Impact. This program helps startups that want to solve big problems by offering training, advice, and opportunities. The pilot project will run on Microsoft Azure, showing Microsoft’s support for new healthcare technologies.
Dr. David Rhew, a leader at Microsoft, said, "This partnership shows how startups and big health organizations can work together to improve healthcare. With the help of Microsoft Azure, we can speed up the development of new technologies that will help patients."
Ahmad Ali Alwan, CEO of Hub71, said, "We are proud of BioTwin’s success in creating strong partnerships that help grow their business. This partnership also shows how Abu Dhabi is becoming an important place for startup growth, especially in healthcare."
The partnership also shows how Hub71 helps new tech companies grow in Abu Dhabi. It gives startups access to the market and helps them connect with big companies and government institutions. Hub71 is making Abu Dhabi a top place for HealthTech startups in the Middle East and North Africa.
The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi has already approved BioTwin’s technology for research, allowing the pilot project to begin.
