Bebe Rexha is not letting negative comments on the internet bring her down. The Grammy-nominated singer recently addressed a hurtful remark made during an Instagram Live, where a troll cruelly said she looked like she had “eaten Lizzo.”

Bebe Rexha Responds With Confidence

In a TikTok video posted on Thursday, the 35-year-old singer directly responded to the body-shaming comment. “First of all, I’m not bothered. Second, I’m fully aware of everything. I know I gained weight,” she said.

She also spoke about her struggles but assured her fans that she was feeling stronger than ever. “I don’t want anyone to feel bad for me. I promise you, I feel more powerful than ever,” she added.

Showing Support for Lizzo

After her response started gaining attention online, Rexha made sure to clarify that she had no issues with Lizzo. She took to TikTok’s comment section and wrote, “BTW, LIZZO LOOKS AMAZING,” showing her support for the singer, who has been looking noticeably slimmer recently.

Rexha also shared how she found out about the body-shaming comment. When she returned from a trip to Dubai, her friends told her about the viral clip. She was shocked by the harsh words but chose to address it head-on.

Owning Her Journey

Bebe Rexha has always been open about her struggles with self-image and feeling underappreciated in the music industry. In her TikTok video, she admitted, “I know people know my songs, but they don’t know me. I also feel like I haven’t gotten the recognition I deserve.”

However, instead of letting these challenges bring her down, she said they have made her feel even stronger. “It’s made me feel more powerful,” she added. She also hinted at exciting plans for the future, writing in the caption, “2025 is gonna be different .”

Speaking Up About PCOS

This isn’t the first time Rexha has talked about body image issues. In May 2023, she appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and revealed that she had gained 30 pounds due to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

“I went to the doctor last year, and I found out I have PCOS. A lot of women have it and don’t even know about it,” she said.

She also explained how the condition affected her body. “I gained 30 pounds fast—maybe even more. But we have to stay positive and spread love,” she shared.

Bebe Rexha is one of many celebrities who have spoken about their experiences with PCOS. Others include Keke Palmer, Sasha Pieterse, Lea Michele, Victoria Monét, and Teen Mom star Maci Bookout.

Despite the online negativity, Rexha continues to embrace her journey with confidence and inspire her fans along the way.
