The Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE) recently held the 7th Abu Dhabi Government Leadership Forum, aiming to build strong and prepared leaders for the future. The forum brought together over 100 top government officials, including undersecretaries, directors-general, and executive directors. The event helped them improve their skills to handle difficult problems, make smart decisions, and work together as a team. This is important for moving Abu Dhabi’s plans for growth forward.

His Excellency Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of the Department of Government Enablement, spoke about the need to invest in people. He said, “Strong governments are built by strong people. When we invest in leaders, we invest in Abu Dhabi’s future.” He added that the forum creates a space for leaders to grow, share ideas, and make a positive impact. He also said that by improving skills, promoting learning, and building a team spirit, Abu Dhabi’s government will become more capable and ready for future challenges.

The forum is part of Abu Dhabi’s bigger goal to improve government by focusing on its people. It encourages sharing knowledge, working together, and building leadership skills needed for the future. Nikki McLeary, a well-known performance expert, led the sessions. She designed real-life situations where leaders had to solve tough problems, make quick choices, and work as a team.

After the event, Nikki McLeary praised the officials for their teamwork and adaptability. She said, “We saw strength, unity, and quick thinking – all signs of great leadership. The way leaders stepped outside their usual roles, worked together, and made smart decisions was inspiring.” She added that the passion and dedication shown by the participants proved their commitment to making Abu Dhabi better.

The successful end of the Leadership Forum shows the Department of Government Enablement’s ongoing effort to train future leaders. The forum gave government officials hands-on experience, helping them think differently, find new solutions, and become better at working together.

Looking ahead, the forum’s lessons are expected to help shape the future of Abu Dhabi’s public sector. It will ensure that government leaders have the skills and knowledge to face future challenges and continue providing excellent services to the people.
