The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and the Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities Department have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at fostering collaboration and promoting museum visitation between the two emirates. Signed by His Excellency Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Undersecretary of DCT Abu Dhabi, and Saeed Al Samahi, General Director of Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities Department, the agreement seeks to leverage mutual expertise to boost tourism and economic growth.
Central to the partnership is the exchange of knowledge and promotion of their respective museums through joint training programs, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities targeting local and global tourists. By pooling resources and expertise, DCT Abu Dhabi and Fujairah aim to enhance visitor experiences and amplify the cultural heritage offerings of both emirates.

His Excellency Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani highlighted the significance of the collaboration, stating, "Partnering with Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities Department allows us to expand museum collaborations, highlighting the artistic and cultural heritage of both emirates. This initiative will foster national pride and cultural understanding, enriching the visitor experience and boosting tourism and economic impact."
Echoing this sentiment, His Excellency Saeed Al Samahi emphasized the strategic importance of the agreement for Fujairah, aiming to strengthen the emirate's tourism sector, promote its historical richness, and reinforce national identity. He added, "This collaboration opens new avenues for sharing tourism experiences and exploring innovative practices, positioning Fujairah as an appealing destination for domestic and international tourists."
The partnership aligns with Abu Dhabi's broader economic diversification strategy, particularly its Tourism Strategy 2030. This initiative targets significant GDP contributions and aims to attract 39.3 million visitors annually to Abu Dhabi by 2030. By enhancing museum offerings and cultural exchanges, the collaboration between DCT Abu Dhabi and Fujairah underscores their commitment to preserving heritage, promoting tourism growth, and advancing mutual understanding in the UAE and beyond.
