Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi Expansion to Open This Summer

Miral has announced that the Yas Waterworld, located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, will open a bigger and better version of the water park this summer. This was shared at the Arabian Travel Market event in Dubai. The expansion of the water park will bring 12 new rides and slides, along with new dining options, giving visitors many new ways to enjoy their visit.

The new attractions are designed for all ages, and there are plenty of fun things for everyone to enjoy. For younger guests, there will be Al Sahel Junior, the first mini zero-gravity boomerang in the region. It will have exciting drops, slides, and fun vertical rides. There will also be Dawwama Junior, a smaller version of the park’s famous tornado slide, and Rimal Racer, a new ride where kids can race their friends side-by-side.

Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral, shared his excitement about the expansion, saying it would help Yas Island become a top place for fun and adventure in the world. He explained that the 12 new rides and slides will bring guests an amazing experience, creating unforgettable memories for families and those who love thrilling rides. This expansion also supports Abu Dhabi’s tourism goals and helps the city’s economy grow.

For families, there will be plenty of new ways to enjoy the water park together. New experiences include Mataha Madness, a slide with twists and turns, Sadaf Swirl, a fun water ride that spins, and Bahamut’s Rage, a log flume ride with big drops. Another fun addition is Bandit’s Playground, an interactive splash zone full of rides and surprises.

A new theme, called the Lost City, will also be added. This is a continuation of the park’s original story, “The Legend of the Lost Pearl.” Visitors will get to explore and find hidden treasures and secret paths, making the adventure even more exciting.

Since it opened in 2013, Yas Waterworld has won over 65 awards, showing its success and commitment to giving guests great fun. The new expansion will make the park even better and keep it as one of the best waterparks in the region and beyond.

With over 57 rides, slides, and attractions, Yas Waterworld is becoming an even bigger destination for families looking for fun and excitement. This new chapter for the waterpark will keep making Yas Island a top place to visit.
