Commemoration Day is a special day to honor not only the soldiers who gave their lives for the UAE but also those who work in the diplomatic services, security, civil defense, and healthcare, including those who died during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sheikh Mohammed said that all of these people contributed importantly to protecting the country and keeping it safe.

“For the ninth year in a row, we come together to honor our heroes, who have passed away and are now with God. Their memory lives on in our hearts and the history of our country. As time passes, their legacy will remain strong, reminding us of the values that make us proud to be Emirati,” said Sheikh Mohammed.
He also expressed deep respect and thanks to the martyrs and their families, praising their courage and strength. Sheikh Mohammed said that the families of the martyrs are an inspiration to all Emirati families, as they teach their children to love their country and follow important values like respect, honor, and loyalty.

Sheikh Mohammed also thanked the UAE’s armed forces for their role in training and serving alongside those who have become martyrs. He praised both the officers and soldiers who worked together to protect the country’s borders, waters, and airspace. He said their sacrifices have helped keep the UAE safe and strong.
On this special day, Sheikh Mohammed also paid tribute to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He praised Sheikh Mohamed’s hard work and dedication to the families of the martyrs, especially his efforts to ensure their needs are met, including supporting the education of their children.
Sheikh Mohammed also acknowledged the efforts of the Supreme Council and the rulers of the Emirates in honoring the martyrs. Their leadership helps keep the memory of the martyrs alive for the whole country.

“On this important day, we honor our martyrs not just with ceremonies, but by living by the values they fought for every day. We show our gratitude to their families by providing them with support from organizations like the Office of Development and Martyrs Families Affairs. We also aim to do our best in national service, bringing the military and civilian sectors closer together. The enthusiasm of young Emiratis to join national service shows that they are committed to the nation’s values and to continuing the legacy of the martyrs,” said Sheikh Mohammed.

He said that November 30th will always be a day of pride for the UAE, a time to remember the sacrifices made by soldiers, security workers, diplomats, civil defense members, and healthcare workers who lost their lives to protect the country.

“We thank God for His blessings and for giving our martyrs a special place with Him. We pray for strength and comfort for their families and the safety of our country. We also ask for guidance to stay on the right path and continue honoring the martyrs’ legacy,” Sheikh Mohammed concluded.
