Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) has signed four important agreements at Abu Dhabi Global Health Week. These agreements show that SSMC wants to work with different groups to improve healthcare for everyone. The agreements were signed with groups from the UAE and other countries, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Cedars-Sinai, Northwestern Memorial Healthcare (NMH), and AstraZeneca. Each of these deals shows that SSMC is working with others to make healthcare better and more advanced.

These new agreements will help in many ways. Some will improve the way doctors and nurses are trained. Others will help with health programs for workers, and some will create new medical services for patients. With these deals, SSMC will make sure that healthcare workers have the best skills and knowledge. Workers will also get more support for their health and well-being. New medical services will also give patients more options for treatment, and doctors from other countries will visit to share their knowledge with SSMC’s doctors and patients.
One of the agreements, with AstraZeneca, focuses on helping the environment. SSMC and AstraZeneca will start a program to recycle asthma inhalers in the UAE. This will help protect nature and make the community healthier.
Dr. Marwan Al Kaabi, the CEO of SSMC, said that these four agreements are a big step for the future of healthcare. Working with important groups like MoFA, Cedars-Sinai, NMH, and AstraZeneca will help SSMC give even better care to patients. It will also help SSMC get ready for the future needs of patients.
These new agreements also add to the work SSMC is already doing. For example, SSMC has worked with Abu Dhabi University to train future healthcare leaders. All these partnerships are helping SSMC grow and offer better services to the community.
