His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, recently reviewed a series of significant development plans and projects proposed by Dubai Police, with a total investment of AED 2 billion.
Among the key projects discussed during the review was the new Dubai Police Academy, set to be built in Al Ruwayyah. Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed reviewed several other major initiatives that are part of Dubai Police's ongoing efforts to modernize and improve its services. These include a state-of-the-art criminal data analysis center, which will play a pivotal role in strengthening investigative capabilities, and a specialized training center in Hatta designed to cater to the growing demand for advanced police training across different disciplines.
Another important project is the development of a new forensics building that will provide cutting-edge facilities for forensic investigations and enhance the department's ability to handle complex criminal cases. Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the innovative floating 'Smart Police Station,' a first-of-its-kind project aimed at offering modern police services in a more accessible and efficient manner.
Another significant topic of discussion was the expansion plans for the Bur Dubai police station, which will help accommodate the growing demands of the city’s diverse and rapidly expanding population.
Sheikh Mohammed commended the efforts of Dubai Police, emphasizing his appreciation for the dedication and hard work of its officers and personnel in keeping the city safe. He highlighted that as Dubai continues to grow into a global city, the responsibilities of the police force are continuously evolving, driven by the rising demands for security, safety, and public services.
His Highness stressed the importance of staying ahead of these challenges by investing in advanced technology, expanding police infrastructure, and improving the overall capabilities of the force. Sheikh Mohammed's support for Dubai Police reflects his broader vision for a smarter, safer city that uses innovation and excellence to meet the demands of its residents and visitors.
