Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hajj pilgrims as they conclude one of the holiest events in the Islamic calendar.

In a message conveyed on social media, Sheikh Mohammed expressed his congratulations to those who performed Hajj, emphasizing the honor and spiritual significance of the pilgrimage to the House of God. He prayed for God to accept their good deeds and bless those who served the pilgrims during this sacred journey.

On Monday, pilgrims engaged in the final rituals of Hajj, including the farewell tawaf around the Kaaba in Makkah, marking the culmination of their pilgrimage. They also participated in the tradition of sacrificing animals as part of Eid Al Adha celebrations.

This year, more than 1.8 million people participated in Hajj, according to Saudi authorities, with approximately 22 percent of them coming from Arab countries, as per official statistics.

Hajj, one of the Five Pillars of Islam, mandates that all physically capable Muslims make the pilgrimage to Makkah at least once in their lives. It coincides with Eid Al Adha, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail as an act of obedience to God's command. Ibrahim's steadfast faith in God's plan is celebrated through rituals where pilgrims symbolically reenact his rejection of the devil's temptation by throwing stones at pillars.

The conclusion of Hajj marks a time of spiritual fulfillment and community among Muslims worldwide, reaffirming their faith and commitment to Islamic teachings.
