Sharjah Ruler Launches Integrated Project in Mahdub Suburb for Comprehensive Urban Development

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, marked a momentous occasion by laying the foundation stone for a series of comprehensive projects in the Mahdub Suburb of Sharjah. This act signifies a significant step towards the holistic development of the region. Among the various initiatives unveiled by His Highness are the establishment of essential infrastructure such as electricity and gas stations, a water tank, and the ambitious Mahdub Commercial Centre. Additionally, His Highness inaugurated projects aimed at enhancing community life, including the Police Sports and Cultural Club, Victoria International School, and the Mahdub Government Nursery.

These projects reflect His Highness's unwavering commitment to providing a well-rounded environment for the residents of the Mahdub Suburb. With its natural landscape of sand, trees, and unique surroundings, Mahdub stands as a testament to His Highness's vision of fostering thriving communities.

His Highness also emphasized the importance of ensuring access to essential goods and services for residents. To this end, he directed the establishment of a branch of the Sharjah Cooperative Society in close proximity to residential areas, as well as a medical clinic to cater to healthcare needs.

Furthermore, His Highness highlighted the significance of housing support initiatives, including various financing methods tailored to individual needs. He underscored the importance of residential complexes equipped with all necessary amenities, as well as citizen involvement in construction projects to optimize resources and expertise.

In addition to laying the foundation stone for these projects, His Highness inspected the progress of infrastructure projects in the Mahdub Suburb. These projects, totaling 1.1 billion dirhams, include expansions to the natural gas network, electricity initiatives, and water projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents.

His Highness's meticulous attention to detail was evident as he scrutinized the designs of the projects and listened attentively to explanations regarding their features and functionalities. The Mahdub Commercial Centre, the Police Sports and Cultural Club, Victoria International School, and the Mahdub Government Nursery are all poised to become integral parts of the community, enriching the lives of residents and contributing to the overall development of the Mahdub Suburb.

The Al Shanof Road project, spanning approximately 8 kilometers, is another vital component of the development plans for the region. This roadway will serve as a crucial link between the Mahdub Suburb and other significant areas across the emirate, further enhancing connectivity and accessibility for residents.

In his concluding remarks, His Highness reiterated his commitment to meeting the needs of citizens for decent living, education, and scholarships, ensuring a promising future for all residents of Sharjah. His Highness's vision and leadership continue to drive the comprehensive development of the emirate, setting the stage for continued growth and prosperity in the Mahdub Suburb and beyond.
