Sharjah has taken another big step in digital transformation with the launch of 'Aqari,' an advanced platform designed to make real estate services easier and faster. The official event took place on Monday morning and was attended by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
Aqari was developed by the Sharjah Digital Department (SDD) to bring together more than 20 local and federal government agencies. The goal is to make real estate transactions simpler by using modern technology. This initiative supports Sharjah’s vision of innovation and progress in digital services.

The launch event was held in Aljada, beginning with the UAE national anthem. Following this, Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department, welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude to the Crown Prince and other guests. He highlighted the importance of Aqari in Sharjah’s journey towards digital excellence.
In his speech, Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi explained that the platform is a step towards a fully digital real estate system. By using advanced technology and data-driven solutions, Aqari aims to provide smooth and efficient services. The platform will not only improve the real estate sector but also attract more investments to Sharjah, making it a leader in digital governance.
The main purpose of Aqari is to make property-related services simple, clear, and efficient. It will also help in boosting the economy by reducing paperwork and delays. Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi thanked all the teams who worked hard on this project and emphasized that Aqari is a result of teamwork and dedication.
He further explained that Aqari’s success relies on collaboration among different government and private organizations. “This platform is a key step in making Sharjah a smarter city where digital solutions serve the people in the best way possible,” he said. He expressed confidence that Aqari will benefit the real estate sector and improve the overall user experience.
During the event, a video was presented to showcase how Aqari works. The video demonstrated how the platform provides digital certificates and documents, eliminating the need for in-person visits. This is part of Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to make public services more efficient.
His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi also witnessed a live demonstration of one of Aqari’s key features – the tenancy contract authentication service. This process, which previously required seven steps and an in-person visit, has now been reduced to just three simple steps:
Users log in, choose a property, and fill in the contract details.
The contract is submitted for approval.
Once approved, fees are paid, and the digital contract is automatically issued.
Following this demonstration, His Highness honored various government and private sector partners who contributed to developing Aqari. They were presented with commemorative shields as a token of appreciation, and group photos were taken.
Aqari was developed with the expertise of more than 200 professionals from both government and private institutions. The platform has already achieved a high customer satisfaction rate of over 90%, and within just 20 days of its launch, 25% of the target companies have already registered.
During its trial phase, over 4,700 real estate units were added to the system. Additionally, nearly 100 training sessions were held to prepare users, and more than 240 professionals were trained to ensure the platform runs smoothly. The system is also supported by a dedicated customer service team at the Sharjah Contact Centre.
The launch event was attended by several distinguished officials, including Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s Office; Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Executive Chairman of the Department of Government Relations; Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Integrated Real Estate Services Platform Committee and Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department; Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Finance Department; Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Majid Al Qasimi, Director of Department of Municipal Affairs; Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, CEO of the Real Estate Sector at Sharjah Asset Management; along with other senior officials and representatives.
The launch of Aqari marks a major milestone in Sharjah’s digital journey, setting the stage for a more modern and efficient real estate sector.
