Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 9: Allu Arjun’s Film Just Rs 20 Cr Shy of Overtaking RRR, Crosses Rs 1150 Cr

Pushpa 2: The Rule, a movie directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, has become a big success. The movie has earned a total of Rs 762.1 crore in India after 9 days of release. On the second Friday, it made Rs 36.25 crore.

According to Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 27 crore in Hindi, Rs 7.5 crore in Telugu, Rs 1.35 crore in Tamil, and Rs 0.2 crore in Kannada and Malayalam. Adding all of this together, the movie's total collection in India has now reached Rs 762.1 crore.

In its first week, the movie performed well, making Rs 725.8 crore. This amount includes Rs 10.65 crore from the previews and a huge Rs 164.25 crore on the first day. Even though the collection went down a bit on the first Friday, the movie did well again on the weekend. It made Rs 119.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 141.05 crore on Sunday.

Pushpa 2 is now aiming to reach the lifetime earnings of RRR, which made Rs 782.2 crore in India. It has also become the fastest Indian movie to earn Rs 1,000 crore worldwide. The film’s producers, Mythri Movie Makers, reported that Pushpa 2 made Rs 1,067 crore in its first week. This is the highest amount ever made in the first week by an Indian movie.

However, the movie’s success has been affected by a sad incident. During the premiere in Hyderabad, there was a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre. One fan tragically died, and her son was seriously hurt. Because of this, Allu Arjun was arrested for not informing the police about the big crowd, but the Telangana High Court later gave him a four-week bail.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is the second part of Pushpa: The Rise, which was also a huge hit in 2021. This new movie brings back Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The movie also features Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in important roles. The movie is still doing great at the box office and is expected to keep earning more in the coming weeks.
