PM Modi Holds Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan's Son Angad in Adorable Photo

In a series of remarkable events that began with a victorious climax in the Caribbean, the Indian cricket team, led by skipper Rohit Sharma, landed in Delhi this morning, marking the end of an intense and triumphant journey. The team's arrival from Barbados on July 4 was not just another routine return home but a celebratory transition as they met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi before heading to Mumbai for a victory parade.

Among the cricketers was Jasprit Bumrah, who, alongside his wife Sanjana Ganesan and their son Angad, shared a notably warm moment with PM Modi. Sanjana Ganesan, a renowned sports broadcaster and Bumrah's spouse, expressed her joy on social media by sharing a captivating image from their meeting with the Prime Minister. The photo, which quickly gathered attention, features a smiling PM Modi cradling young Angad, with the proud parents dressed distinctively—Sanjana in a vibrant suit and Bumrah in the official Team India jersey, all set against a backdrop of fluttering Indian flags.

The return of Team India was heavily anticipated following their exceptional performance at the T20 World Cup, where they secured a nail-biting victory against South Africa in the final match held in Barbados. However, their journey was extended unexpectedly due to Hurricane Beryl, a Category 5 storm that stranded them, their families, and accompanying Indian media on the island. With the hurricane eventually subsiding, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) arranged for a special Air India flight to expedite their safe return on July 3.

Upon arrival in Delhi, the team received a grand reception at the five-star ITC Maurya hotel in Chanakyapuri. The celebrations kicked off with the unveiling of a special T20 trophy cake, masterfully crafted in the colors of the Indian cricket jersey and designed as a chocolate replica of the trophy. The cake-cutting ceremony was a festive affair, attended by team captain Rohit Sharma, coach Rahul Dravid, and other key players like Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya.

The celebratory mood extended into the breakfast that followed, where the hotel catered to the team's preferences with a lavish spread, including popular dishes such as chole bhature, a favorite among the players.

The events of the day were not just a celebration of India's cricket prowess but also a heartwarming glimpse into the personal lives of its players, epitomized by the intimate and cheerful interaction between the Prime Minister and the Bumrah family. This special morning not only underscored the achievements of the national team but also highlighted the close ties and communal spirit prevalent within the highest echelons of Indian sports and governance.
