The partnership unites Dubai's premier public parking provider with the exclusive developer of vertiport facilities, setting the stage for a new era of transportation infrastructure. The MoU is designed to foster the development of multi-modal, seamless transportation options, paving the way for air taxi services within the city.

Key aspects of the MoU include the exploration of potential locations for air taxi take-off and landing infrastructure, significantly enhancing the viability of AAM solutions in Dubai. As part of this collaboration, Parkin plans to generate revenue by managing parking facilities at select Skyports vertiports, further integrating air travel with ground transportation.

AAM represents a transformative transportation model that leverages electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, aimed at efficiently moving people and cargo. This sustainable air transport solution aspires to alleviate road congestion and enhance urban mobility by providing a quicker and environmentally friendly mode of travel. Vertiports serve as essential ground infrastructure, enabling air taxis to take off and land while also processing passengers and recharging aircraft.

Under the terms of the agreement, Parkin and Skyports will work closely to establish parking facilities at relevant vertiport sites and investigate opportunities to develop new air taxi infrastructure across Parkin’s expansive network. This partnership combines Parkin’s established parking network and technological advancements with Skyports’ expertise in integrated air taxi infrastructure development. The collaboration will leverage Parkin’s leading access control technologies, payment systems, and enforcement strategies to ensure a seamless experience for customers accessing vertiport sites.

The MoU reflects both companies’ dedication to advancing new multimodal transport technologies, fostering seamless mobility and enhancing connectivity for Dubai’s residents and visitors alike.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Ahmed Bahrozyan, Chairman of Parkin, with the MoU signed by Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, and Duncan Walker, CEO of Skyports.

Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “This ground-breaking collaboration with Skyports showcases Parkin’s market-leading capabilities and commitment to innovation. Our role as the largest provider of paid public parking services in Dubai positions us to support the Emirate’s mobility expansion plans effectively. Integrating our extensive parking network with Skyports’ vertiport infrastructure presents a unique opportunity to enhance our platform’s capabilities. Together, we aim to improve connectivity for both residents and visitors while contributing to Dubai’s green mobility goals.”

Duncan Walker echoed these sentiments, adding, “As the exclusive provider of vertiport infrastructure in Dubai, partnering with Parkin allows us to combine our complementary assets and operations effectively. Access to Parkin’s comprehensive network will enable us to develop our vertiport infrastructure across the city, accelerating the adoption of integrated, multimodal transport solutions. Our joint commitment to sustainable technological advancements will enhance the passenger experience and promote the use of air taxi services.”

This collaboration aligns with the broader objectives of Dubai’s Green Mobility Strategy and Smart Autonomous Mobility Strategy 2030, driving increased adoption of electric and autonomous transportation solutions. Parkin has secured exclusive rights to operate and manage paid public parking services across Dubai for the next 49 years, underlining the long-term vision of developing a safe, efficient, and high-quality mobility ecosystem within the Emirate.
