The documentary talks about Perry’s accidental overdose on October 28, 2023. Former U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada said that Dr. Salvador Plasencia gave ketamine to Perry’s assistant, even though the assistant had no medical training. Estrada said, “A doctor gave ketamine to an assistant who was not trained, and that assistant gave the drug to Perry, even though Perry had serious health risks.”
Estrada also said that the doctor gave Perry ketamine in different places. Once, they met in a parking lot in Long Beach, and the doctor gave Perry a dose in the back of a car.
The documentary says three people were responsible for Perry’s death. Estrada said these people took advantage of Perry and did not care about his health. Even when the doctor saw Perry reacting badly to ketamine, he still gave more of the drug to Perry’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa. The ketamine was supplied by a woman named Jasveen Sangha, who was called the Ketamine Queen in the documentary.
Documents from the Department of Justice say that Iwamasa injected Perry with six to eight doses of ketamine every day from October 24 to 27.
On the day Perry died, Iwamasa gave him a dose at 8:30 in the morning and another at 12:45 p.m. Later, Perry asked for more and told his assistant, “Give me a big one.”
The documentary raises many questions about how Perry was treated in his last days and whether the people around him acted responsibly.
