The plane’s voice recorder was first checked in South Korea. When it was found that some data was missing, it was sent to the United States for more tests. The flight data recorder was also sent to the U.S. for investigation. U.S. experts are helping with the investigation.

The flight was from Bangkok to Muan, South Korea. The plane crashed after missing the runway and hitting a concrete wall. Before the crash, the pilots told air traffic control that a bird had hit the plane. They said they needed help. Two minutes before the crash, air traffic control warned the pilots about birds in the area.

Instead of landing safely, the pilots tried to go around, but the plane made a sharp turn and approached the runway from the wrong direction. The plane crash-landed without its wheels down.

Two crew members sitting in the back were hurt but survived. Sadly, many people died. Investigators believe the black boxes stopped recording because the plane may have lost all power, including backup power. This is rare.

The Ministry of Transport said they would keep the investigation open and share information with the families of the victims. Some families want independent experts to help with the investigation.

Investigators are also looking at the embankment near the runway. This embankment is meant to help planes land safely. Some people think it was built too close to the runway. Investigators are checking if this made the crash worse.
