Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor’s rumoured boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya, recently lashed out at a social media user for making a caste-based comment on his Diwali post from last year.

Last year, Shikhar had posted some pictures celebrating Diwali with his pet and Janhvi Kapoor. In his caption, he extended warm wishes to his followers. However, one user left an insensitive comment under the post, saying, “Lekin tu toh Dalit hai” (But, you’re a Dalit).

Instead of ignoring the remark, Shikhar decided to respond strongly. He took a screenshot of the comment and posted it on his Instagram Story. He expressed his disappointment, writing, “It’s honestly pathetic that in 2025, there are still people like you with such a small, backward mindset. Diwali is a festival of light, progress, and unity—concepts that are clearly beyond your limited intellect.”

Shikhar’s Powerful Response

Shikhar didn’t stop there. He further addressed the issue by highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusivity in India. He wrote, “India’s strength has always been in its diversity and inclusivity, something you fail to grasp. Maybe instead of spreading ignorance, you should focus on educating yourself. Right now, the only thing truly ‘untouchable’ here is your level of thinking.”

Shikhar’s Diwali Message

In his original Diwali post, Shikhar had shared a heartfelt message:
"Happy Diwali from us to you. May the arrival of Lord Ram bring a year of light and prosperity. May good always win over evil, and may we have the strength and wisdom to choose the path of righteousness. Blessed are those who can, uplift, and protect those in need."

Shikhar Pahariya comes from a well-known political family. He is the grandson of former Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, while his mother, Smruti Shinde, is an actress.

Recently, his elder brother, Veer Pahariya, made his Bollywood debut in the film Sky Force.
