India and Australia are playing the second Test match in Adelaide, and Day 2 was full of action. Pat Cummins took an early wicket for Australia, dismissing KL Rahul for just 7 runs. Rahul tried to hit the ball with a pull shot, but it touched his glove and went to the wicketkeeper, Alex Carey, who caught it easily. India lost their first wicket when they had only 12 runs on the scoreboard.
Earlier in the day, Australia completed their first innings with a score of 337 runs. Travis Head was the star of the innings, scoring an incredible 140 runs. He got great support from Marnus Labuschagne, who scored 64 runs, and Nathan McSweeney, who added 39 runs. The Indian bowlers worked very hard to keep Australia in check. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj were the best bowlers for India, taking four wickets each. Nitish Reddy and Harshit Rana also contributed by taking one wicket each.
India started their second innings with a tough task ahead, as they were trailing by 157 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul opened the batting for India. Jaiswal had been dismissed for a golden duck (zero runs) in the first innings but looked more careful this time. He hit a confident boundary in the first over, and the crowd cheered for him. However, KL Rahul’s early dismissal put India under pressure once again.
The match had many exciting moments. Travis Head was the hero for Australia in their innings. He played aggressive shots and made it very difficult for the Indian bowlers. When he reached his century, he celebrated by showing a "rock the baby" gesture, as his family was watching from the stands. Later, Mohammed Siraj bowled him out, but Head had already done a lot of damage to India’s hopes.

India also missed some chances to get Australia out earlier. For example, Mohammed Siraj dropped a catch that could have dismissed Travis Head. This was a big missed opportunity, and it left the Indian players and fans disappointed. Even though the Indian bowlers continued to try their best, Australia managed to build a strong lead.
After Australia’s innings ended, India came back to bat, needing to score runs quickly to close the gap. However, losing KL Rahul early made their job harder. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill are now at the crease, and India is hoping they can build a good partnership to steady the innings.
The pitch in Adelaide is making things tough for the batsmen. It still has some bounce and movement, which helps the bowlers. Some cracks are also starting to show on the pitch, which can make batting even more difficult as the match goes on. India will need to be very careful and focused if they want to stay in the game.
This match is becoming very exciting, and fans are watching closely to see what will happen next. Both India and Australia are fighting hard to win this important Test match.
