Hamdan bin Mohammed donates Dubai Games prize money to charity

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has decided that the prize money won by the Ministry of Defence teams in the Dubai Games 2025 will be given to charity.

This generous move highlights Sheikh Hamdan’s commitment to helping others and promoting a culture of giving. It also reflects the UAE’s strong values of unity, generosity, and responsibility toward society.

A Gesture of Generosity and National Spirit

Major General Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli, Director of the Office of the Minister of Defence, expressed his appreciation for Sheikh Hamdan’s decision. He said, "This act of kindness shows Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed’s dedication to helping those in need. It also strengthens the spirit of teamwork, social responsibility, and national service."

The Ministry of Defence's teams performed exceptionally well in the Dubai Games 2025. The men’s team won first place in the Battle of the Government for Men competition, while the women’s team secured second place in the Battle of the Government for Women. These competitions took place at Dubai Festival City from February 20 to 23, 2025.
