Dubai: The Global Prompt Engineering Championship commences today with 30 competitors from 13 countries participating, including Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Morocco, India, Singapore, the Dominican Republic, Austria, France, Spain, the UAE, and the United Arab Emirates.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), the event brings together finalists selected from thousands of entries spanning 100 countries. These finalists will compete across three categories – Art, Literature, and Coding – vying for a prize fund worth Dh1 million in total.
The inaugural day unfolds at AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers, where contestants will be evaluated on speed, quality, creativity, and accuracy. The top three contenders from each category will advance to the final stage at the Museum of the Future scheduled for Tuesday.

The championship draws participation from major global technology companies like Microsoft, Google, and IBM, along with the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy as a strategic partner. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Deputy Managing Director of DFF, underscores the competition's significance in spotlighting essential future skills.
Organized by the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) and supervised by DFF, the championship boasts a distinguished judging panel featuring experts from various sectors. Benedetta Ghione from Art Dubai, Saeed Kharbash from Dubai Culture, and Mazen Abu Najm from Microsoft oversee the Art category. In the Literature category, judges include Mustafa Al Rawi from International Media Investments (IMI), Ahlam Al Bolooki from Emirates Literature Foundation, and Ramesh Chander from Google. Ashraf Khan from IBM, Abdul Rahman Al-Mahmoud from the UAE Artificial Intelligence Office, and Ahmed El Sayed from Google are the judges for the Coding category.
