Etihad Introduces Chatbot for UAE Flights, Provides Visa and Ticket Info to Passengers

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has rolled out a new automated chat feature on its website aimed at providing travelers with essential visa, ticket, and travel document information. This initiative allows passengers to access real-time guidance on the documents they need before embarking on their journeys.

To use the service, travelers simply need to visit etihad.com and navigate to the 'Get In Touch' section of the Help page. From there, they can select 'Travel Guidelines and Transit Information' in the chat menu to begin the automated process. The system guides users through a series of questions and then lists the specific travel documents required based on their itinerary.

John Wright, Etihad’s Chief Operations and Guest Officer, emphasized the importance of ensuring travelers have the correct documentation before departure: "We understand the peace of mind that comes with having the right documents for travel. This new online feature utilizes IATA’s Timatic solution, which provides up-to-date information on international travel requirements relied upon by both the travel industry and government authorities worldwide."

By integrating this automated feature, Etihad aims to streamline the travel preparation process, reducing the need for passengers to independently research or contact customer service centers for confirmation of their document requirements.
