During the "Your Path is Green" gathering at the Al-Ahram Foundation, which was organized by Youth Magazine, Farouk highlighted this initiative. Among the attendees were key figures such as Sami Abdel Sadek from the Agricultural Bank of Egypt (ABE), Mohamed Fayez Farhat from Al-Ahram Foundation, and Mohamed Abdullah from Youth Magazine, along with leaders of agricultural colleges and private firms.
Farouk's message to young folks? Take advantage of the government’s aid— capital, training, and assistance to kickstart agricultural initiatives. He expressed gratitude to Youth Magazine and Al-Ahram Foundation for arranging the event. In his view, nurturing young minds in agriculture is crucial, for they are the drivers of Egypt's destiny. He emphasized the government's recognition of the youth's role in agriculture. The Agricultural Research Center stands ready to provide guidance and tips for the young farmers' initiatives, Farouk said.
Investing in the agricultural ideas sparked by our youth is fundamental to Egypt's progress, given the significant role agriculture plays in the economy. He detailed the government's initiative of providing loans to get small agricultural businesses off the ground. Institutions like the Agricultural Bank of Egypt (ABE) and Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) are part of this supportive framework, offering help to young entrepreneurs in agriculture.
In addition, modern farming techniques and animal welfare training programs are available, provided by the Agricultural Research Center, Desert Research Center, and agricultural and veterinary universities.
The government is also joining forces with corporations to develop online platforms that aid farmers in marketing their goods, revealed Farouk. In conclusion, he reiterated how backing young farmers can propel Egypt's growth- improving food security, increasing agricultural output, and enabling Egyptian products to penetrate new markets, thus enhancing their value.
