8th International Conference on Education Quality
The International Conference on Education Quality, now in its 8th edition, is organized by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, in partnership with the Emirates Academy for Identity and Citizenship. The theme for this year’s conference is: "Artificial Intelligence Innovations: Future Visions in Empowering Public Institutions and Enhancing Education Quality." This conference will run from April 22 to 24 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai and the headquarters of the General Directorate.
The goal of the conference is to promote research and development in AI and technology. It will also aim to support educational systems and public institutions both in the UAE and globally. The conference will explore the latest AI applications that are helping to improve education.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, said, "The UAE is working hard to strengthen its position as a global leader in AI. This aligns with our leadership’s vision to use AI in building a sustainable future. Education is one of the UAE’s top priorities, and using AI in education will help improve the knowledge and skills of future generations."
Al Marri also emphasized that the conference will bring together global AI leaders, researchers, and decision-makers. The agenda will include panel discussions with international companies, presentations of over 200 research papers, signing of important agreements, and the opening of the AI Innovation Lab.
HIMSS Executive Summit 2025
The HIMSS Executive Summit 2025 is another key event during Dubai AI Week. This summit, organized by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), will be held on April 23, 2025, at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The summit will focus on the role of AI in healthcare, with special attention to topics like generative AI, genomics, precision medicine, and digital health transformations.
Ronan O’Connor, Managing Director of HIMSS EMEA, said, "We are honored to be a part of Dubai AI Week. The HIMSS Executive Summit will bring together healthcare experts from across the region to discuss how AI is shaping the future of healthcare."
Focus on 6 Key Sectors
Dubai AI Week will also highlight AI’s impact across six important sectors: government, global industry leaders, future-driven talent, startups and investors, tech innovators, and students and educators.
The events throughout the week are designed to support these sectors in different ways. For example, the AI Retreat will discuss policies related to AI, while the Dubai Assembly for AI will feature global leaders sharing insights on AI trends. The Global Prompt Engineering Championship and the AI Hackathon will focus on discovering new talent. The Dubai AI Festival will help startups and investors connect, and the Machines Can See Summit will bring together innovators working on robotics and AI systems. Finally, AI Week in Schools will introduce students to the tools and knowledge needed for a future shaped by AI.
Dubai AI Week aims to foster collaboration, create new opportunities, and help everyone, from businesses to students, get ready for a future where AI plays a big role in everyday life.
