On Thursday, Delhi airport issued an advisory to passengers, warning them about possible flight delays due to changing wind patterns around the airport.
The airport announced that Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) measures would be in place for incoming flights from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM on April 17. These measures are put in place to make sure that flights arrive safely, following international safety rules.
The advisory explained that due to shifting wind patterns near the airport, ATFM measures had been set up for flights coming into Delhi. These steps are being followed to ensure passenger safety is the highest priority.

What Will Be Affected: The delays will only affect flights landing at Delhi airport. All other airport operations, including the three runways, will continue as usual. However, some flight arrivals might be delayed or changed. The airport is working closely with all airlines to reduce any problems caused by the delays.
Passengers are advised to stay in contact with their airlines to get the latest updates on their flight schedules. The airport also apologized for any inconvenience caused and thanked passengers for their patience.
What is ATFM? ATFM is a system used to control air traffic and prevent too many flights from arriving at once. This helps the airport and air traffic controllers manage the number of flights safely. The measures are part of international safety protocols and are used to make sure air traffic moves smoothly. ATFM is mainly used when there are weather changes or disruptions that affect the normal flow of flights.
BluSmart Cab Services Suspended in Delhi-NCR: BluSmart, an electric cab service, was not operational on Thursday in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. This happened because the market regulator took action against the company’s co-founder over allegations of misusing funds at a related company. The Delhi Airport issued a statement saying that BluSmart had temporarily stopped its operations at the airport on Tuesday evening.
Akasa Air Moves to Terminal 1: Akasa Air, a domestic airline, announced on Wednesday that it has moved all of its operations to Terminal 1 at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport from April 15. This means all Akasa flights to and from Delhi will now use Terminal 1 (1D) until further notice.
Before this, Akasa and IndiGo Airlines used to operate from Terminal 2 (T2) for domestic flights. This move was made as part of planned maintenance work at the airport.
