This art space is 17,000 square meters big and will be run by Miral Experiences. The special thing about this place is that the art is not fixed. The light, air, and water around it will change how the art looks. So, every time people visit, they will see something different.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, the Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, said that Saadiyat Cultural District is a place where past and future meet. He said this project will bring cultures together and inspire people. He believes teamLab is the right partner for this project because they mix art and technology in a new way. When it opens, people will feel amazed and curious as they explore the space.
The idea behind teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi is called Environmental Phenomena. This means that art is made by the environment. Toshiyuki Inoko, the founder of teamLab, explained that usually, things like rocks exist on their own, but the art in this place is different. It needs air, light, and space to exist. If the environment changes, the art changes too.
Visitors will see many exciting artworks. One of them, called Massless Suns and Dark Suns, will have floating balls of light and darkness. The bright balls will look solid, but they are not, and the dark ones will look like shadows. If someone touches a light ball, it will glow, and the glow will spread around. Another artwork, Levitation Void, will have a floating shape that stays in the air without support. If pushed, it may move or fall, but it will slowly rise again. These artworks show how art and nature can work together.
teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi will be part of the Saadiyat Cultural District, which is becoming a big cultural area. This district already has Louvre Abu Dhabi, Manarat Al Saadiyat, and Berklee Abu Dhabi. Soon, it will also have Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. This will make it one of the most important places for art and culture in the world.
People can buy tickets for teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi at teamlababudhabi.com. This place will give visitors a new way to see art, nature, and technology together. It will be a special place for families, tourists, and anyone who loves art and creativity.
