The HELM cluster will speed up work from first ideas all the way to making and selling new drugs. It will give teams access to special labs and computer systems that can study patient records, gene information, and protein data. Local experts will help manage and learn from these data so new cures come faster.
At Abu Dhabi Global Health Week, leaders said this partnership will help turn research into real medicines more quickly. Companies that set up in the HELM cluster will get support from the Investment Office, including grants and help with setting up their offices. They will also get help to protect their inventions with patents.
Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi from the Health Department explained that computer tools and data help make care smarter, more local, and more personal. She said the HELM cluster will link scientists, investors, and doctors around the world so they can share ideas and speed up discovery.
Mr. Badr Al‑Olama from the Investment Office said the cluster will make Abu Dhabi a world leader in using digital tools for health. He called it a launchpad where new ideas can grow into life‑saving treatments that reach patients everywhere.
Through Hub71, new and growing companies will find investors and partners from places like France, South Korea, and Singapore. At the same time, students and researchers at Mohamed bin Zayed University will get chances to work on cutting‑edge projects, learn new skills, and train the next generation of experts in medicine and tech.
With more heart disease and diabetes worldwide, the HELM cluster’s work is vital. By combining big data, smart computers, and teamwork, Abu Dhabi aims to find new ways to spot disease early and help patients live healthier lives.
Abu Dhabi Global Health Week 2025, under the theme “Towards Longevity: Redefining Health and Well‑being,” shows the emirate’s drive to build a strong, caring health community that puts prevention and personal care first.
