The event will take place from December 4 to 6, 2024, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). It is organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), ADDED, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). The goal is to bring the government and businesses together to make the economy stronger.
The main forum will happen on December 5, 2024. It will focus on how the government’s purchasing system can help businesses grow. Key people from the government, local businesses, and investors will talk about how to improve the economy.
The forum’s theme is “Invest and Prosper.” It will include talks on how the government helps businesses and supports eco-friendly ways of doing business.
One of the talks will focus on ADIO’s programs like Musataha and public-private partnerships (PPP). These programs help businesses grow and bring more investment to Abu Dhabi.
The forum will also talk about how small businesses (SMEs) can get involved. The Khalifa Fund helps small businesses get government contracts, which helps them grow. ADDED also has rules that make it easier for small businesses to succeed.
His Excellency Fahed Salem Al Kayyoomi, Undersecretary of ADDGE, said, “The Procurement Forum helps us follow Abu Dhabi’s goals. By supporting local businesses and green practices, we make Abu Dhabi a top place for investment and industry.”
Mouza Obaid Al Nasri, Executive Director of the SME Sector at ADDED and Acting CEO of the Khalifa Fund, said, “The forum will create new chances for small businesses. It will help them connect with other businesses and grow in Abu Dhabi.”
Another session will show how the government’s buying plans help the economy grow. The Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) will talk about how they are helping to build more factories in Abu Dhabi and encourage innovation.
Mohammed Kamali, Chief Trade and Industry Officer at ADIO, said, “The Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy will help make Abu Dhabi a leader in growth. By focusing on local products in government purchases, we are making the economy stronger for the future.”
The Procurement Forum is one of 10 special events during ADBW. Each event will focus on different topics like industry, technology, and sustainability. These events will help businesses learn, form partnerships, and find new investment opportunities.
The forum is a big chance for businesses to connect with the government and help Abu Dhabi’s economy grow.
