The 3rd Liwa Date Festival and Auction has successfully wrapped up in the Al Dhafra Region, specifically at Madinat Zayed. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, this year’s event attracted over 71,000 visitors, generating total sales that exceeded AED 2 million, along with a substantial prize pool of more than AED 4.3 million.

The festival played a significant role in showcasing Al Dhafra as a prominent hub for heritage events and activities, featuring an impressive lineup of specialized competitions, cultural exhibitions, and family-friendly activities. Visitors had the opportunity to explore over 30 types of premium Emirati dates, underscoring the importance of the agricultural sector in the UAE.

One of the festival's primary goals was to support local date producers, providing them with a valuable platform to showcase their products. The event also facilitated the exchange of knowledge and expertise among producers, fostering community connections and promoting the rich heritage and culture of the UAE.
